Sanctuary

Take Part

Produced by Artichoke, the UK’s leading producers of extraordinary live events, and delivered in association with Coventry-based company Imagineer, Sanctuary will bring people together from across the region and provide real opportunities for employment and training, working through community groups and local partners.

Opportunities exist for local people from a range of different backgrounds to assist with the construction, decoration and management of the structure and there are both volunteer and paid roles available.

There are two key roles available:

Paid work placements for Sanctuary Build Participants, from the 5th – 19th May

This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside David Best and his team to learn tangible skills in decoration and construction and playing an important part in a community event.

This opportunity is open to ages 18+ although we will consider applicants aged 16 – 17 on a case-by-case basis. We are particularly interested in applicants who are from the Bedworth area.

  • Sanctuary Build Participants will work onsite with the Site Crew and the artist’s team to construct, decorate and assist with the creation of the artwork.
  • Participants will need to be available between 5th – 19th May and be able to commit to at least a week to the project and attend a training session prior to the 5th May.
  • This is a paid work placement and participants will receive the Living Wage for their time.
  • Construction/carpentry experience isn’t essential and training will be given and you will be guided by our team at all times.
  • Places are limited, therefore applicants will need to take part in an interview as part of the application process.

If you’d like to get involved, please complete our Sanctuary Build Participant Application Form

We’re looking for volunteers to become advocates and champions of the Sanctuary project.

This opportunity is open to ages 18+ although we will consider applicants aged 16 – 17 on a case-by-case basis. We are particularly interested in applicants who are from the Bedworth area.

  • Sanctuary Guardians will be the main point of contact for visitors, giving information about the project and supporting them to interact and connect with the artwork.
  • Guardians will work whilst the artwork is open to the public from the 21st – 28th May on shifts during the day and the evening (12 – 8pm)
  • We’re looking for a commitment to at least two shifts and attendance to a training session prior to the 21st May

Complete our Sanctuary Guardian Form and we will get back to applicants closer to the time.
